At Help[H]er, the board of directors is the heart of our nonprofit. These passionate individuals are united by a profound desire to help victims and survivors in Christian organizations. Each board member brings a unique perspective and a personal commitment to our mission. Together, they cultivate innovative ideas and strategize a compelling vision for our future, ensuring that every decision we make furthers our impact and drives meaningful change.
Lisa and her husband Fritz live in Charlotte, North Carolina. They have three adult children and five grandchildren. Lisa served as a Children’s Ministry Director and in Women’s Ministry at her home church in New Jersey, as well as on the Women’s Leadership Team and as a trainer for an Advocacy Ministry at her previous church. Currently, Lisa and Fritz attend Church of the Redeemer in Monroe, NC. Fritz is an ordained ruling elder in the PCA. Lisa has been studying and teaching the Bible for 30+ years. She loves advocating for women in crisis, mentoring young women, and writing Bible studies for Sophron Studies. In her spare time, Lisa loves spending time with her grandchildren, walking, decorating, and extending hospitality.
Ann Maree is the founder and Executive Director of Help[H]er. She advocates for women in crisis, consults, trains, and produces resources for shepherding women well in Christian organizations. Ann Maree has a Doctor of Ministry in counseling. She is a trained domestic abuse advocate (CTP) and has a certificate for 3 courses from the Global Trauma Recovery Institute. Ann Maree and Bob have been married 40 years! They are proud parents of three adult children and their wonderful spouses, Gigi and Papa to thirteen precious grands.
Julia is a licensed counselor who is certified and specialized in trauma, abuse, and addiction treatment. She has worked in private organizations, community mental health agencies, non-profits, and church counseling centers. She is a member of national professional networks for trauma and addiction therapy and abuse care, and she desires to help build a bridge between the faith and mental health communities. She is particularly passionate about the church’s role and calling to care for the oppressed and heal the wounded. Julia currently works as a therapist in North Carolina. She is married with four children.
Helen Jimmie comes from rural life, learning resourcefulness and ingenuity from her entrepreneurial family. Appreciation for beauty and developing ideas to display a vision aesthetically and functionally permeates her creative designs. As a survivor and having a heart for ministry, she holds dear her leadership, one-another and behind-the-scenes ministry opportunities. Helen Jimmie’s other joys include progress in overcoming mobility issues and spending time with family.
