Remember God’s covenant, His promise of relationship with His people

Genesis 9:15-16

“And I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. “When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”

Remember those who bless you with good deeds

Genesis 40:23

“Yet the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.

Remember God’s deliverance

Exodus 13:3

 “And Moses said to the people, “Remember this day in which you went out from Egypt, from the house of slavery; for by a powerful hand the LORD brought you out from this place. And nothing leavened shall be eaten.

Remember the rest that God provided

Exodus 32:13

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Thy servants to whom Thou didst swear by Thyself, and didst say to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heavens, and all this land of which I have spoken I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’”

Remember God’s promised relationship and His provision for His people

Leviticus 26:42

“Then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and I will remember also My covenant with Isaac, and My covenant with Abraham as well, and I will remember the land.”

Remember God’s covenant, His deliverance, protection, and provision

 Leviticus 26:45

“But I will remember for them the covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am the LORD.’”

Remember your Creator, and the perfection of His provision

Numbers 11:4-6

“The sons of Israel wept again and said, “Who will give us meat to eat? “We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic, but now our appetite is gone.”

Remember your participation in God’s covenant (1 John 2:1-17)

Numbers 15:39

“And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the LORD, so as to do them and not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you played the harlot, 40 in order that you may remember to do all My commandments, and be holy to your God.”

Remember to hear, fear, and teach the Lord and His words

 Deuteronomy 4:10

Remember the day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb, when the LORD said to me, ‘Assemble the people to Me, that I may let them hear My words so they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’”

Remember God delivered you to His rest

Deuteronomy 5:15

“‘And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the LORD your God commanded you to observe the sabbath day.”

Remember God’s deliverance from what you feared

Deuteronomy 7:18

“You shall not be afraid of them; you shall well remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt.”

Remember adversity is not punitive, rather a way to find God

Deuteronomy 8:2

“And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.”

Remember that His gifts confirm His promises

Deuteronomy 8:18

“But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

Remember whose you are, remember who you are (1 Cor. 7:23)

 Deuteronomy 9:7

Remember, do not forget how you provoked the LORD your God to wrath in the wilderness; from the day that you left the land of Egypt until you arrived at this place, you have been rebellious against the LORD.”

 Deuteronomy 9:27

Remember Thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; do not look at the stubbornness of this people or at their wickedness or their sin.”

Remember you once were slaves but now you’re not ~ God calls us sons and daughters

Deuteronomy 15:15

“And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this today.”

Remember God’s deliverance ~ do this in remembrance of Him

Deuteronomy 16:3

“You shall not eat leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat with it unleavened bread, the bread of affliction (for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), in order that you may remember all the days of your life the day when you came out of the land of Egypt.”

Remember you are not a slave ~ God calls us sons and daughters

Deuteronomy 16:12

“And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and you shall be careful to observe these statutes.”

Remember God restores fallen sinful people

Deuteronomy 24:9

Remember what the LORD your God did to Miriam on the way as you came out of Egypt.”

Remember you WERE slaves, but God redeemed you…

Deuteronomy 25:18

But you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and that the LORD your God redeemed you from there; therefore I am commanding you to do this thing.”
